So i'm definitely still catching up on sleep from almost a week ago. Let me tell you, it has been a whirlwind since last Friday, I'm not really sure how i'm functioning right now haha. I was missing my dogs a ton, and my sister, Colleen, got home from Australia, and on top of that I had to bring some stuff back to Phoenix, so I figured i'd make a quick trip home! It may have only been two and a half days, but I went out and did more things than I usually do over a two month span haha.
Okay, so i'll just start with my ride home. Has anyone else been obsessed with podcasts? It made my 5 hour drive go by so much quicker! I've recently been listening to The Porch (I linked it if you'd like to check it out, I encourage everyone to!) - they have the most incredible podcasts on vice and virtues. I'd like to believe they are making me into a better person haha. So far I have listened to Anger & Forgiveness, Lust & Self Control, Greed & Generosity, Gossip & Restraint, Love & Sex, and Entitlement & Gratitude. Pretty powerful topics right? Plus, the way they speak on these subjects are not only powerful, but also relatable and encouraging. I left pretty late at night, but I love the quietness and calmness of nighttime, so it was easy to concentrate without getting distracted. I didn't get home until one in the morning, but I immediately went to love all on my pups, I even slept downstairs with them haha.
The next day I started the day doing a Bikini Body workout with my sis, she's always good to have around because she forces me to do her workouts with her. Which of course, once I actually get to the gym, I love doing them. Then we headed over to Gilbert to Henry Brown Buick GMC, to try out on of their newest cars for the weekend! Although, I wasn't a fan of the hour and a half journey it took me to get out there, (Surprise is far from everythingggg) the car was definitely worth it! The staff was super friendly and helpful! It worked out perfect as well since my car was jammed packed from bringing half of my stuff home from San Diego. I'll admit i've never considered getting a Buick, but after driving the Enclave for two days, I was blown away! One of my favorite features was actually how high it sits, you can easily see over two cars ahead! Also, the Apple carplay is such a great invention in cars. I actually gave up looking at my phone whatsoever in the car while I'm driving for Lent, so it was nice to have all my messages, apps, phone calls, pretty much anything I would need from my phone on a touchscreen display. It will read everything out loud for you, so you never have to worry about looking down, or driving distracted. This is a super random feature to love, but I really appreciated that they have an actual outlet and wifi in the car! I do a lot of photography, so if i'm on long trips and not driving, it gives me access to to be able to work, as well as charge my computer!
I'm just going to drop some knowledge abut Henry Brown Buick and the Enclave for you guys.
After picking up the car, Colleen and I got ready and went over to The W in oldtown Scottsdale to check out Scottsdale Fashion week. I'm not sure how all those models didn't freeze! It was swimwear, but it was so cold out! It was really fun to see the shows, because my own What Matters show is less than a month away! So I was also, scouting out ideas / inspiration!
I'm adding some images of the Enclave below if you want to take a look at my favorite features!
