I am spending most of today unpacking, cleaning, and doing laundry! And I took a solid two hour nap! I landed late Thursday night from Washington, and had to leave for Mexico Friday morning, so I still have to unpack from that trip as well as this one! Plus, if I wanted any sleep Thursday night, I didn’t have any time to hang up all of the clothes I was trying on haha. So they are kind of still everywhere at the moment. But that’s okay, I have the next couple of days to get organized! My to-do list is pretty long at the moment. Plus, I need to start designing and planning next years What Matters Fashion Show! Good thing I love being busy haha.
Okay, lets talk a little about where I stayed in Mexico. The group was split up and half of us stayed at Las Palomos, and the other half stayed at Hotel Penasco del Sol. I was at Hotel Penasco del Sol, which was awesome because I am actually going back there in two weeks to shoot a wedding! So I got to scope it out and check out all the best picture spots ahead of time! They are a bit different from each other! I actually stayed at Las Palomos before with my friends for a spring break one year. It is more resort style, and i’d say a bit more relaxing just because of the incredible views. They have the infinity pool and the mini lazy river, as well as little umbrellas and seats right on the beach. But you don’t get to walk outside, and really explore the Mexican little shops. Whereas, Hotel Penasco del Sol has so many cute restaurants and little shops right outside of the hotel - which I personally think is better for the people who like to go out and explore more. We only had to do a quick walk to be able to get some of the awesome outfit shots Audrey and I took. The pool was more of a fun pool (if that makes sense) they had volleyball nets up and little areas for kids. We also had the most INCREDIBLE dinner at the hotel. It was right on the beach and all lit up with the bulb lights (my favorite!). The food and drinks were so good! I tried a couple of virgin pina coladas and margaritas, and we just ate, talked, and made new friends all dinner! Both hotels are equally amazing, it is just a matter of what vibe you are looking for - relaxing or exploring! As for this outfit below, I partnered with Muse Apparel - one of my favorite local shops in Arizona! I met them through my fashion show actually, they provided some of the dresses for my models to walk in! If you love the bohemian laid back styles, - lots of rompers, sets, and dresses- like I do, their shop would be perfect for you! They carry all the best brands - this set is Show Me Your Mumu - and they are located at the cutest little shopping center (UPTOWN PLAZA). If you stop by, you have to go eat at Wild Flower, get dessert at Creamistry, and stop by Local Nomad. All the pics below were shot by Love Audrey Photo - isn’t she talented!? ..............................................................
